“All the words I use in my stories can be found in the dictionary;
it’s just a matter of arranging them into the right sentences.”
~Somerset Maugham
Writers Cooperative Application
Applying to be considered as a writer in the Writers Cooperative is easy, being accepted… not so much.
For pretty much everything VerbalEyze does, the only requirement to participate is the desire to put words on paper or the enjoyment of the efforts of those who do. But let’s be honest, the work needed to refine your writing to the point of professional publication is taking it to a whole new level.
Having said that, if you think you have what it takes, that’s the kind of confidence we like to see. So here’s what you do:
- Be between 13 and 22 years of age
- Save this application form to your documents folder and fill it out.
- Email it along with 10 (yes, ten; remember we said you had to be ready) original written works to apply@verbaleyze.org
That’s it.
From that point, one of two things will happen. Either you’ll be accepted, and one of the writers-in-residence will contact you with what happens next. Or you will get back in-depth feedback on your submissions and suggested areas you should work on to improve your writing craft and your chances of being accepted to the Writers Cooperative in the future.
So let us see what you’ve got!
