YOUNG AUTHORS DEBUT AT THE DECATUR BOOK FESTIVAL

ATLANTA, GA, September 5, 2013 — This Labor Day weekend ten young authors, published this summer by VerbalEyze Press, made their public debut at the Decatur Book Festival, the largest independent book festival in the United States. These accomplished young authors, who range in age from twelve to seventeen, met their reading public at the VerbalEyze Press booth, gave public readings, and signed copies of their book. An appreciating festival crowd of over 80,000 received the young writers with enthusiasm—with seven of the authors selling out the stock of their books at the festival.

VerbalEyze Press is proud to be the independent book publisher with the privilege of launching the careers of these talented young people with the publication of their first books, including Jamal Clay (My Own Words), Regan Nesbit (The Eye of the Beholder), Jacobi Copeland (The Divine Line), Ever Taylor (Letters from the Underground), Malachai Moody (Shadows), Mariah Cooper (Dinner at Tiffany’s), Louis Burts (Breaking Barriers), Elizabeth Garnes (Phases), and Wendy Noreña and Brianna Richardson (both published in Racing Toward Dawn).

Founded out of a vision to encourage young people and contribute to a renaissance in creative writing instruction, VerbalEyze fosters, promotes and supports the development and professional growth of emerging young writers, ages thirteen to twenty-two. VerbalEyze achieves this mission through four key divisions: Education, Performance Spaces, VerbalEyze Press, and the Writers Cooperative.

Additional information about each young author listed in this press release can be found at www.verbaleyze.org/press/meet-our-authors.
