Edward Dong has delighted in four years of an award-winning poetry program based in the San Francisco Bay Area. A 2012 graduate of the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, he often seeks inspiration from nature and the lessons she teaches daily to those who take the time to observe her. In his literary creations, he aspires to capture the beauty and intricacy of his favorite genres: the Belle Époque art song and the Latin American short story. In addition to receiving numerous awards for his poems, he has shared his work in various literary journals such as Avocet, Orbis, The Storyteller, and Song of the San Joaquin. He now attends Yale University.
