Alicia Zuberbier is a writer, a makeup artist, and a hipster enthusiast. She fell in love with poetry in her 8th grade literature class but didn’t start working on becoming a poet until college. Her work has appeared inCurio Magazine, The Fox Cry Review, Zouch Magazine, and The Waukesha Freeman. She won the Waukesha Reads contest in 2012 for her George Orwell-inspired flash fiction story. She currently works as a copywriter and as a beauty and fashion blogger for Inventor Spot.
When she isn’t writing, Alicia spends her time at photo shoots, playing with makeup, or watching B-rated science fiction films. She loves going to indie concerts, the beach, and antique stores. She’s also a firm believer that Netflix is an acceptable way to spend a Friday night.
She currently resides in Waukesha with her goldfish, Gilligan. She loves Milwaukee and can’t imagine living too far from The Cream City, but who knows where she will end up. After all, she’s been waiting patiently for a blue phone booth to appear….
